A true story about learning at Tiimiakademia
We’ll write a true story about learning at Tiimiakatemia. We learn to speak ourselves as entrepreneurs rather than students, and tend to head to the office rather than to school. Of course, we act like we think. In Tiimiakatemia, the learners are guided by coaches not teached by teachers. We do stuff that matters and things from where we can learn.
Three main learning processes
Teampreneurs are built to trust on processes. For the freshman the “trust on process” is the saying with pinch of community humor and comprehension. Been there done that, we could say. All in all, there are three main processes that every learner faces:
- Team’s learning.
- Individual’s learning.
- Teamcompany’s learning.
Team´s learning
We start building trust to unknown people around us by dialogue training sessions, where we at first start learning business. At first, the team works as a platform for new ideas and we try to make solutions and rules good for everyone. We meet customers, read and do tasks the team sets. During the months and years, we find through our own paths the important things to us. Every team faces minor and major conflicts. Usually at the second year teams face breaking point through a trusted based conflict. Then team members normally found out can they commit or not.
Individual´s learning
Individual learning process starts right away at door step of Tiimiakatemia. Stereotypes and mental models about school and way of learning are chrushed. Learning can really start after learner admits that he need to change. We grow learning by doing and feedback we’re giving and given. After a while starts a journey to inner self. Who am I? Then we start asking why? We reflect our doings and create rather than find ourselves.
Teamcompany´s learning
And then, there is for sure the business side. We create ideas and form them into a concrete products. We expand and develop materials and metrics of working. As time goes by teamcompanycreates it’s own culture from which the younger teams tend to copy. We network continuously with other teamcompanies and learn from others.

We are not held by liabilities. By those, we mean fewness of strict rules of doing things in practise and curriculum. Teampreneurs learn to build up their own calendar, arrange meetings and test projects. Our 3,5 years lasting studies are great insight to business and learning. Tiimiakatemia is not just a school or incubator, it is a place to start a life lasting learning !
